i slept through my alarm somehow
i fell into sleep at midnight (early, immediate)
i woke up every three hours
sweating, bathroom, obnoxious crow

yet managed to not wake up on time

i just called work
told my manager my tummy hurts
that i don't want to miss work
but i am not feeling well

i'm rather teary eyed today
words full of desolation
from my baby
came racing into my mind

i'm sorry for the ultimatum
many months old
we both wanted what we wanted
it was impossible
